Meet The Gators

Head Coach: Kathy Jurs

Coach Kathy has been in competitive swimming for most of her life. Coach Kathy took over the Gator Swim Team in 1997 after the other coach left for reasons of marriage. Since her joining the team, the team has grown leaps and bounds with the introduction of the philosophy "God, Family, Swim Team."

Assistant Coaches: Emily, Eva and Paul Weil

Emily and Paul have been coaching with the Genoa Gators since Coach Kathy's second year, and they have been a big help to the team. Coach Emily coaches the 'pollywogs', or baby Gators, and Coach Paul coaches the teenagers. Eva joined the coaching staff fours years ago, and she helps takes care of the middle children. All three also help extensively with meets and other Gator events. Without them, Coach Kathy wouldn't function.

Junior Coaches

We have a set of "junior coaches", who serve as mentors/coaches to current Gators. They are selected from past Gators who have shown an aptitude in leadership. They often swim alongside Gators in meets.
